Abraham Zere is third year PhD student of MDIA. For his dissertation he is working on the use of social media in challenging repressive regimes in Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Sudan. Abraham writes for different media outlets and his work has been published, among others, in The Guardian, The Independent, Al Jazeera English, Dissent Magazine, and Index on Censorship Magazine. With two colleagues he edited the book Uncensored Voices: Essays, Poems and Art Works by Exiled Eritreans (Loecker Erhard Verlag, 2018).
