New Summer Academy one-credit course to be led by Dean Scott Titsworth
ATHENS, Ohio (Feb. 11, 2016)—This summer the Ohio University Scripps College of Communication is offering a limited number of $500 scholarships for students taking at least 10 credit hours in communication courses, one of which must be a Summer Session I course entitled Scripps College Summer Academy (COMM 2900), which will be led by Dean Scott Titsworth. At least two courses should be on-campus classes.
The Summer Academy will highlight current topics affecting communication and enhancing your ability to interact with professionals while focusing on professional development.
“This course came about in part because we want to focus on and increase professional development opportunities for students in the college,” said Dean Titsworth. “We’ll cover a variety of topics during the seven-week course and will hear from a number of guest lecturers.”
The scholarship does not depend on academic merit or financial need and students in majors outside of the Scripps College of Communication will be considered.
