1. View the MDIA scholarships and the specific requirements for each on the scholarship grid.
2. Complete the online application found below. Make sure you meet the eligibility requirements and check the scholarship(s) for which you want to be considered. Note: Some awards may require recommendation letters, demo links, or other additional materials. These items must be submitted at the same time as your completed application. Instructions are included on the application form.
3. Attach a current resume.
4. Include a brief statement (up to 250 words) describing your academic and professional goals.
5. Complete the general Ohio University scholarship application online by the application deadline. This form is available at ohio.edu/financialaid. Click “Online Scholarship Application for Continuing Students” which is the first link under the “Important Links” header.
Application Deadline: February 9, 2018 5:00 p.m.
To be eligible for scholarships that have a financial need requirement, you must also have a current FAFSA on file at the Office of Student Financial Aid by the application deadline. To fill the out the FAFSA application go to fafsa.ed.gov.
Scholarships offered by the College of Communication such as the Don Perris Endowed Internship Scholarship and the Scripps Multimedia Scholarship are not included on the MDIA application and must be applied for separately. Watch for announcements. For information contact Karen Peters.
If an appropriate candidate is not available for a particular scholarship, the MDIA Scholarship Committee reserves the right to make a selection from the entire pool of scholarship applicants.
