Professor Good joined the faculty of the School of Media Arts and Studies after a career in television broadcasting, where he worked up through the ranks of technical positions, eventually serving as program director and producer of all local programming for a top 100 market ABC affiliate. He chaired the Video Production sequence for many years before founding – with Beth Novak and John Bowditch - the Digital Media: Special Effects, Games and Animation sequence of courses, designed to prepare students for careers in positions of creative control in emerging media industries.
His personal creative work is in the area of digital video postproduction. He is a former Avid Certified Instructor and the coordinator and head instructor of our Authorized Apple Training Center, the only facility in Ohio offering Apple User certification in the Pro Applications of Final Cut Studio to the professional production community. We also offer this certification within our curriculum to the students in our production sequences. He teaches courses that involve students in using digital technologies to pursue projects of their own design.
