Dr. Steve Howard, Professor of Media Arts and Studies and African Studies, was recently featured in a video by the United States Embassy in Khartoum which commemorates his 8 month stay in that country as the first Fulbright Scholar in 25 years. Prof. Howard taught at Ahfad University for Women in Omdurman, Sudan, and worked on research for a book on a social movement opposed to Islamic extremism, and the recruitment process to that movement. The video was intended to give an idea of his daily life there and to encourage Sudanese to apply for the Fulbright program. View the vide below or click here to view it on Facebook.
