Paula has been at Ohio University since 2000, the same year she graduated with her B.S. After working for many years as Business Manager for The Messenger Publishing Company, she decided to go back to school and finish her degree. Starting with Hocking college, she received her A.A. S. in Applied Business Administration in 1997. She entered Ohio University the fall of 1997 majoring in Communications Systems Management with a minor in Business. She graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Communications Systems Management.
As Administrative Coordinator, she manages the school’s budget, oversees the graduate and undergraduate records, coordinates special events, arranges visits for prospective students and much more.
When she’s not in the school office assisting students and faculty, she spends her time as one of the directors of the Athens County Agricultural Society where she heads up the Junior Fair Program, among many other areas of the fair. She’s been a 4-H leader for 28 years and is a member of the Athens FFA Alumni. Most recenlty she is serving as a board member for the Athens County Children's Services.
Paula is married to Bruce Carpenter and together they farm 125 acres on Fisher Road. They have a daughter and a son and 5 grandchildren.
