The PD Narrative Project is an ongoing collection of stories about, and by, people with Parkinson's Disease: from the brain scan image at the moment of diagnosis to the scramble for information and creative coping strategies. They produce videos with people who want to share their stories in any form: poems, drawings, essays, dreams and even their latest hallucination. The project is supported by The School of Media Arts & Studies, the Communication & Development Program, and an 1804 grant from Ohio University.
In this episode, Chuck Foster talks about how the medicine Mirapex affects his life by causing a gambling addiction. Chuck has had Parkinson's for the last 15 years, and with the help of a local support group, he is working on improving his life with Parkinson's.
