New Faculty Profile: Wolfgang Sützl
This semester, the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies is beginning a short series to celebrate our newest faculty members. This week, we begin by featuring Dr. Wolfgang Sützl.

Wolfgang Sützl is a philosopher, media theorist, and linguist who is pleased to jointly join the School of Media Arts & Studies as well as the Center for International Studies as a Visiting Assistant Professor. He completed his PhD in Philosophy at the Universitat Jaume I in Valencia, Spain, after finishing his MA in Peace Studies at the University of Bradford, UK, and a first degree in English and Spanish at the University of Vienna, Austria.
Before joining the School of Media Arts & Studies, he was a research fellow at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, conducting a research project on media activism. He was also chief researcher of World-Information.Org, a six-year international collaboration of scholars, artists, and technologists researching critical perspectives on the information society.
Wolfgang Sützl is a faculty member at the Transart Institute's MFA program (New York/Plymouth, UK), and the University of Innsbruck's MA program in peace, development, and conflict transformation. He has taught in Austria, Spain, Germany, Central America, and he's looking forward to his time in Athens!
