Led by Josh Antonuccio, a group of Ohio University students will be heading to Austin, Texas for the music industry portion of the conference, which runs from Tuesday March 11th to Sunday March 16th. South by Southwest offers an unparalleled convergence of the music, interactive, and film industries and fosters an exciting and engaging atmosphere for professional and educational growth.
Students will hear personally from industry professionals in a variety of ways, including panel discussions, keynote addresses, interviews, workshops, as well as one-on-one mentoring sessions with professionals in their specific field of choice. Previous keynote speakers have included Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Robert Plant, Pete Townshend, and Quincy Jones. South by Southwest is the center of the music and media universe, where many invaluable professional networking and learning opportunities are offered with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, legendary musicians and emerging artists.
At night, the absolute best mix of musical performances from over 2,200 regional, national and international acts takes place across the city. Altogether, SXSW presents unmatched immersive industry education, career-building conference programming, and over 100 stages of music for showcasing bands and conference attendees.
