On Tuesday, April 18th, MDIA students, members of their families, and MDIA faculty gathered together in Baker Ballroom for the annual Media Arts and Studies Awards Reception. The event began with a welcome from Director Drew McDaniel, followed by multiple scholarships and awards handed out by Dean Scott Titsworth and Asst. Dean for Student Success Greg Moeller.
Following this, MDIA faculty and contributing families presented multiple scholarships which honored past alumni of the school. The evening closed with the presentation of the Director’s Awards of Excellence and the Outstanding Graduate Senior Award presented by Roger Cooper, Greg Korn, and Karen Riggs, and with final closing remarks by Drew McDaniel.
The MDIA Awards Reception recognizes outstanding students within the School of Media Arts and Studies. Students receive awards based on criteria such as involvement in the school, involvement in the media industry (internships, other outside work), and exceptional performance in the classroom and in overall GPA. The evening is an opportunity to recognize some of the many hardworking, above-and-beyond students within the School of Media Arts and Studies.
