York, Pennsylvania has always been a place for artists. From Lewis Miller and Horace Bonham to Jeff Koons and the band, Live, creative individuals seem to spring forth from the rich environs of Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley.
The documentary A Day in the Sun, produced by Brian Plow, Associate Professor in the School of Media Arts and Studies, is the story of the city as it strives to be recognized as a homestead for artists.
A Day in the Sun will be aired by WOUB Public Media on Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:30pm on 201 WBHD & 441WCHD. Tune in for this story of an emerging artists community in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and highlights the arts' new role in shaping economies and developing communities.
