MDIA students are encouraged to apply for the Storytelling, Technology, and Digital Media in Theme Parks program. This program examines media design and storytelling principles that are employed in the development of public attractions and amusement parks. Special emphasis is placed on the integration of different forms of media into one cohesive story experience. The program culminates in a week-long visit to Orlando for field study at the parks of Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.
The course includes eight nights and nine days in a Disney World Resort, deluxe park tickets to all four Walt Disney World Parks, tickets to both Universal Studio Parks (including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter), and behind-the-scenes tours and classes in Walt Disney World. The travel dates will be December 9, 2017- December 17, 2017.
It is required that students attend an information session or meet with the director before applying to this program. Info Session Dates:

This program is open to seniors (at the time of the class) with 15 hours of COMS or ITS or JOUR or MDIA or VICO. Applications and GPA will be considered.
