The Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies, in partnership with AC Entertainment, has announced an exclusive Music Industry Masterclass in Summer 2019. This internship-based course will give Ohio University students an opportunity to work with festival teams to assist in the operation of two major east coast music festivals: Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN in June and Forecastle Festival in Louisville, KY in July.
The Music Industry Masterclass will allow Ohio University students to research the logistics and facilitation of a modern music festival and apply that knowledge to direct firsthand support on the ground at these two festivals. Students will work on-site and backstage both before and during each festival, assisting various operations teams, and learning first-hand about the staff responsibilities that enable a large-scale event.
An information meeting will be held for students on Thursday 1/24 at 9:00pm in Schoonover 145. This information session will provide an overview of the summer course, cover the logistics for the trip, and detail the application process. Seats for the trip are limited to 10 students and applications are due by February 15th.
