The School of Media Arts & Studies in partnership with the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences will be hosting an exclusive on-line interview event with Grammy-winning Jazz icon Herbie Hancock and electronic music pioneer Flying Lotus on November 4th.
Ohio University has been selected as one of the six GrammyU chapter groups that will join the two icons for their discussion, which will be be streamed live from the Recording Academy in Los Angeles. Flying Lotus will be talking with Herbie Hancock about his storied career in shaping music history and Ohio University students, along with other GrammyU chapters, will be given the opportunity to ask their own questions and engage directly in the conversation.
The interview will be held through an invitation-only Google Hangout, sponsored by the Recording Academy, and will be hosted locally by MDIA faculty and Grammy-voting NARAS member Josh Antonuccio.
