Internships

MDIA 3910 On-Campus Practicum

MDIA students may earn academic credit for their involvement with certain extra-curricular activities. Practicum credit is available for the WOUB Center for Public Media training program, ACTV-7, the All Campus Radio Network (ACRN), AVW Productions, and the dorm stations: WLHD, WNWG and WSGR. The MDIA 3910 instructor may also approve other experiences for credit. Each student's academic advisor can provide more specific information about the on-campus practicum.

MDIA 3911 Off-Campus Practicum

MDIA majors have the opportunity to gain professional experience with an off-campus media organization through the MDIA 3911 Practicum. Students earn one hour of credit for a minimum of 40 hours of work. The hours may be concentrated in one or two weeks, or may be spread over a longer period, such as over winter break. Each student's academic advisor can provide more information about the off-campus practicum.
