World traveler, author, and former professor of Ohio University David Mould will be reading from his new book Postcards from Stanland: Journeys in Central Asia. Mould, Professor Emeritus of Media Arts and Studies, retired from Ohio in 2010 after a 30-year career. Through the Center for International Studies, he now leads a team of faculty and former Ohio graduate students that conducts training and research projects for UNICEF on communication for development.
Mould's latest book, which is derived from his letters and journal entries spanning nearly 20 years, recounts the experiences of his travels throughout Central Asia. Areas visited by Mould include: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Postcards from Stanland has been published by the Ohio University Press and aims to demystify the regions and people of the other side of the globe.
