Dr. Cooper's research wins awards

Dr. Cooper's newest co-authored manuscript “Fans, Nonfans, and the Olympics: Predictors of Audience’s Multiplatform Experience with the 2008 Beijing Olympics” won First Place in the 2012 Sports Division competition at BEA.  He collaborated with Dr. Tang Tang (2008 graduate of our PhD program) on this paper and two others that were recently accepted for publication:

  • “Gender, Sports, and New Media: Predictors of viewing for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.” will appear in the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media.
  • “Fans, Nonfans, and the Olympics: Predictors of Audience’s Multiplatform Experience with the 2008 Beijing Olympics.” will appear in Mass Communication and Society.
  • “Gender and the Perceived Attributes for Career Success in the Media Industries.” will appear in the Journal of Media Education.

Drs. Cooper and Tang have won First Place in the BEA Sports Division for three straight years!
