Death of the Cool

In his youth Edison Banks was the lead guitarist for the popular alternative rock band 'Structural'. Now, however, at age 44, his life seems an affront to his exciting past. Leaving the glamor and excitement of his old druggy rock star days behind, Edison now lives in a small beach town, where he drives around by himself in his expensive convertible popping pills and living in his memories. When his wife leaves him, Edison's loneliness becomes too much to bear. After a few failed attempts to connect with the locals, he finally befriends an enthusiastic young fan, Lyle, at a bar. Edison's fight to retain his youthfulness ultimately turns sour when Lyle shatters his trust. This project was produced by 419 Productions at Ohio University.
