The Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies is pleased to welcome the award-winning Golubić for a live-streaming interview event on April 14th at Baker Theater.
Ohio University’s School of Media Arts & Studies will host award-winning music supervisor Thomas Golubić for an exclusive onstage interview about his work on shows such as Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

The event will take place on Monday April 14th from 11am to 1pm at Baker Theater.
“Thomas Golubić is a visionary in his use of music for film and television,” said Josh Antonuccio, an instructor in the School of Media Arts & Studies.
“As one of today’s top music supervisors, he is involved with some of the most popular and important television stories of this generation”.
Antonuccio will interview Golubić on-stage at BakerTheater and the event will also be live-streamed online. Viewers will be able to ask questions to Golubić via Twitter by tweeting their question with the hashtag #AskOUMDIA. The online stream can be accessed at mediaschool.ohio.edu
“Ohio University students will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the process of licensing music for television and film and will hear Thomas share in-depth about his creative work,” said Antonuccio.
As a Los Angeles-based music supervisor, DJ and Grammy-nominated record producer, Thomas Golubić is responsible for shows such as the AMC series Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, The Killing, the HBO series Six Feet Under, the Showtime series Ray Donovan, as well as films such as The Hurricane and After The Sunset. Golubić was twice nominated for Grammy awards for producing volumes 1 and 2 of the Six Feet Under soundtrack album.
Last month, Golubić won Best Music Supervision in a Television Drama for Breaking Bad at the 4th Annual Guild of Music Supervisor Awards and, most recently, he earned two spots on Flavorwire’s “10 Career-Changing Music Moments in the Last 10 Years of TV”, which included the use of Sia’s “Breathe Me” in the final scene of Six Feet Under. It is considered one of the most memorable uses of music in television, and launched Sia’s music career in America.
As a record producer, Golubić is responsible for the Breaking Bad soundtrack album for Sony Pictures Television and assembled various remix projects for EMI-Capitol Records and MGM. Golubić formed The Arbiters, a music collective creating mash-up music and video productions, free-released two EPs, and created audio and video mash-up productions for clients including Google, YouTube, Microsoft and Levi’s.
Golubić has also become known as an innovative club DJ spinning broadly eclectic music sets, often with live synchronized visuals. His SYNCHRONIZE re-score project, featuring live DJ re-scores of classic films has been featured at Bonnaroo, the Sundance Film Festival, Dubrovnik Film Festival, U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and monthly residencies in Los Angeles.
