The School of Media Arts & Studies could simply not offer the courses or quality of education to our students without our talented and committed adjunct faculty. This new series seeks to highlight the contributions of those vital members of the Media School community.
Dave Urano is the Director of Video and Photography Services in University Communications and Marketing, and has taught Lighting for Film and Video in the school since 2012. Dave received his MFA in Film from Ohio University, has been a director and producer for Public Television and a freelance film and video professional in Virginia for many years before relocating to Ohio. Dave has worked for the University as a Producer for over 20 years, and has served as the Director of Video and Photography at UCM since 2011. “Dave has been an essential part of the School of Media Arts & Studies community for years,” said Brian Plow, Associate Director of the Undergraduate Studies. “He’s a terrific mentor, classroom teacher and practitioner and we’re lucky to have him as part of our faculty.”
Dave will continue teaching Lighting for Film & Video this fall as MDIA 4904 which is open to all MDIA majors and is a suggested course for Integrated Media Production students.
