  • New Faculty Profile: Eve Ng

    This semester, the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies is beginning a short series to celebrate our newest faculty members. This week, we continue by featuring Eve Ng.

    Eve Ng is joining the School of Media Arts & Studies as a an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in Media Arts and Studies as well as Women and Gender Studies. She examines cultural and political formations of gender, sexuality, race, class, and nation, considering how identities and communities are defined and contested through media and culture. 

    Her focus is on television and new media, both as significant forms of visual culture and as sites of ongoing economic, cultural, and technological transformations.  She is interested in what these changes open up and constrain and how relationships between mainstream and margins are being reconfigured.  Most recently, she is looking at the transnational dimensions of LGBT media, with a current focus on Southeast Asia.

  • New Faculty Profile: Josh Antonuccio

    This semester, the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies is beginning a short series to celebrate our newest faculty members. This week, we continue by featuring Josh Antonuccio.

    Josh Antonuccio is joining the School of Media Arts & Studies as a Lecturer of Music Production and Recording Industry who has spent the last two decades as a music producer, musician, studio owner, and media journalist. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he is the current owner and operator of 3 Elliott Studio, a thriving music and post-production studio in Athens, Ohio. Since 2009, Josh held the position of Coordinating Instructor in the Music Business and Production Program at Hocking College, where he established an innovative curriculum and supervised the expansion of experience-based music industry education.

  • New Faculty Profile: Brian Plow

    This semester, the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies is beginning a short series to celebrate our newest faculty members. This week, we continue by featuring Brian Plow.

    Brian Plow is an educator and media maker with passions for documentary, social justice and cinematography. Brian  is a proud alumnus of Ohio University’s School of Film and he is pleased to be joining the School of Media Arts & Studies as an Associate Professor. He has recently returned to Athens to join MDIA after teaching, creating new curriculum and developing a variety of creative projects with Towson University and The John Hopkins University.

  • New Faculty Profile: Wolfgang Sützl

    This semester, the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies is beginning a short series to celebrate our newest faculty members. This week, we begin by featuring Dr. Wolfgang Sützl.

    Wolfgang Sützl is a philosopher, media theorist, and linguist who is pleased to jointly join the School of Media Arts & Studies as well as the Center for International Studies as a Visiting Assistant Professor. He completed his PhD in Philosophy at the Universitat Jaume I in Valencia, Spain, after finishing his MA in Peace Studies at the University of Bradford, UK, and a first degree in English and Spanish at the University of Vienna, Austria.
