  • MDIA Communication Week Events Included Emmy Award-Winning Alumna Speaker & Mountain Stage Panel

    The School of Media Arts & Studies recently observed Communication Week with the Scripps College of Communication on March 24-28 which saw several exciting events celebrating the achievements of our students and alumni. 

    The school hosted an open presentation and forum with alumna Kate Farrell as well as a panel discussion with Mountain Stage's Larry Groce and friends.

  • MDIA Hosts Visiting Scholar From UAE In Spring 2014

    The School of Media Arts & Studies has been been privileged to host Dr. Qais Al-Tameemi as a visiting Assistant Professor this Spring, currently on sabbatical from United Arab Emirates University in the Middle East where he teaches in their Department of Mass Communication.

    During Spring 2014 he has been working under the supervision of Dr. Don Flournoy on several research projects. One project is a survey of Arab Gulf students use of and attitudes toward social networks at Ohio University, while the other discusses the role of NASA (The National Aeronautics and Space Administration) in Space Communication.

  • Breaking Bad & Walking Dead Music Supervisor Thomas Golubić To Join MDIA For Live Interview

    The Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies will host award-winning music supervisor Thomas Golubić for an exclusive onstage interview about his work on shows such as Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. 

    The event will take place on Monday April 14th from 11am to 1pm at Baker Theater and will also be live-streamed online!
