  • MDIA Students Complete Documentary Storytelling Program In Morocco

    Nine students from the School of Media Arts & Studies were among fifteen who journeyed to North Africa to take part in MDIA’s Documentary Storytelling in Morocco program over winter break. Based in Rabat, the country’s capital, the students also traveled to the ancient cities of Marrakesh, Tangier and Fes.

    While on a field trip to Meknes, students did a two-night homestay with local families. They also traveled to Chaouen, known as the Blue City because of the many homes and businesses that are painted various shades of blue.

  • Reminder: MDIA To Host Alumni Panel As Part Of Communication Week Celebration

    Communication Week at Ohio University dates back to 1970, just after the College of Communication was formed in 1968. Over the years, the Scripps College has hosted such notable professionals as Rev. Jesse Jackson(1998), Peter Arnett (1992), Roger Ailes (1989), Ted Turner and Hugh Downs (1982).

    As part of the Communication Week celebrations, the School of Media Arts & Studies will be hosting an alumni panel on Tuesday, March 24th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm in the Schoonover Center Lobby.

  • Reminder: MDIA Semester-in-LA Applications Due March 20th

    The applications for the Fall 2015 Semester-in-LA Program is now available and can be accessed online. The Fall Semester-in-LA is a 16-week program that includes LA-based internships, coursework and production experiences, and opportunities to tour studios, attend productions, and visit production companies.
